In the interest of the College Kid's Quest for Cool Cash Online Experiment, I have decided to start a new project, yes I am starting a new blog. What is the blog about? Well it will help you clear your debts. Are you under debt? Then I can help you out. Yes a 19 year old boy, a geek money maker- a guy who could just manage to make 5.81 dollars in the last month is gonna teach you the way out. Sounds interesting-sounds more funny too.
Well there are many plans behind it. The actual reason to start the blog is obvious-TO MAKE MORE MONEY. I know the amount of time required will be a little too much and a lot of hard work must be put into it. But once you start making money online, there are no excuses really. So get on with it, its life after all!
The second reason is that the Experiment needs to explore the passive streams to making money online rather than the active ones. So I am trying to achieve that. So my personal advice to you all will be to have as many sites as possible. But take care to maintain them all. I know its all not that easy. But the other side of the coin is that its better to have one site earning you 100 dollars a month than 20 sites collectively erning you 100 a month. So think about that too. Its your decision.

You must have probably heard of PTC sites which claim to give you free premium memberships even before they officially launch. Premium memberships for FREE!!! Yes, nothing to lose you would say. But what is this 'premium membership'?
Well, If they offered 10 ads to you when you were a free member, they may offer say 15 or 20 ads for you to click when you upgrade to premium. They say more ads each day equals more money. So guys and gals who already are looking for some easy cash sign up to such sites and claim free premium memberships. They get 15 ads per day. They make 15 or 20cents per day without any efforts(really!), which would have been only 10 cents if they were free members. They see the money reeling(fantasy!) and they work hard and collect referrals, and their referrals click and then when they reach payout and they request payment, they are assured by the site that they will be paid in the coming time. But one day-Whammo! The site explodes somewhere; no more ads to click, no more money, nothing. What did you gain? You'll answer back 'What did I lose...lol! Everything was free!'. But think practically;
You clicked 10 ads per day=10ads x 0.5min=5mins wasted=$0.00 earned
Your 20 referrals clicked 10 ads per day=20refs x 10ads x 0.5min=100mins=3hrs10mins wasted=$0.00 earned
This example of wastage of time is only for 20 referrals.
And when you claim your free premium membership, these are the statistic(considering you get 20 ads to click);
You clicked 20 ads per day=20ads x 0.5min=10mins wasted=$0.00 earned
Your 20 referrals clicked 20 ads per day=20ref x 20ads x 0.5min=200mins=6hrs20mins wasted=$0.00 earned.
This example of wastage of time is only for 20 referrals.
6 hours 20 mins wasted collectively everyday for almost nothing! Some of you won't agree with me, but TRUTH is TRUTH, whatsoever!
You go on for a month or two hoping that they pay you, but do they really pay??? Never. Yes, the site gets paid by its advertisers and the admin promises to pay their clickers(which they never do!) and they keep all the profits. Thats how they fall into the scam list, then they shut down their site, and then the same admin comes with a new disguise, with a new name, with a new site for search of new scapegoats!(usually called as CLICKERS).
Now why am I speaking all this. Because I found one. YES!!! I found a site which claims to give away its premium membership worth $90!!! They claim to pay $0.0125 per ad you click for 20 seconds and 0.0125 per ad your referral clicks for 20 seconds if you are a free member and 20 ads for premium members. The site is in its prelaunch beta, but still there are ads to click. I signed up there, but because the site looked a bit fishy(like most potential scam sites), I never thought of doing any business with it.
Forget about the free membership lol. I don't want it! You wanna check it out then type this www.netcashbux(dot)com. I don't want to give such sites free links, dude, you can understand!
Thats my view about PTC sites. I am not a big fan of PTC sites. Unless I google around and until I am confirmed that the site has had a great background and a good track record(in terms of payment to its members), I don't do any business with them. I don't just go, sign up and give away my personal information to such sites only to get my email inbox spammed, you know! So, I just don't rely on PTCs for
cash, there are many alternatives to them.
Then, are all such type of sites fake? No, not all. There are only some handful sites like Crewbux.com which pay its members. The admin at Crewbux is one of the few which pays its members really and pays them on time. Their payout is $5 and they pay you $0.01 per ad you click for 30 seconds and $0.005 per ad your referrals click for 30 seconds. They pay via Paypal or Alertpay. I like ptc sites which pay via paypal, there are only few such which do. If you want to earn some real cash helping me earn then click here to sign up to Crewbux.
Plus you are free to suggest legimitate ptc sites like Crewbux so that we can all benefit from them, but remember they should be legit, thats the only criterion required.

Sorry for this post. I know its nowhere related to this blog's blog topic, but I want to ask you all, Are we breaking the rules?
This is regarding the blogspot navbar, which is not in this template. I have also seen many others not having it so was thinking it is OK. Last month some guy who had a look at my blog slammed me for it and said that I broke the code of Ethics. My reply though polite was a little rude.
Today when browsing for some help in my blogger dashboard I came around this thing in the Terms of Service,
"Unless you publish your blog via FTP, the Navbar cannot be disabled."
What do you say? Shall I enable it before google takes my blog away? Has anyone's blog been taken away for this reason? I won't have any problems enabling it. Atleast it will save my blog.

A decision has been made over the last few days, to stop trying to post every single day, and combine a few days events and ideas into a less regular post of more substance.
Have you ever noticed, that a large article, that sits for three or four days, without other articles being continually plonked on top of it seems to develop better feedback from visitors to your site? Well I have and I tell you that I love feedback and soon I have got some plans to make this blog a 'do follow' blog to make sure that my readers are encouraged to comment regularly, of course I will turn on the comment moderation option, because even if Iove feedback, I hate spam.
Moneywise as promised, we will discover new as well as different revenue streams. We will write sponsored posts, take surveys, etc. I still encourage you to help us with new streams and also tell us your experiences with those sites.
Though many would think that $5.81 earned last month was a meagre amount, I would like to tell those people that money will come slowly and gradually and it will come on its own. Yes we are very slow towards our target, but we don't want to hurry towards it man, after all the College Kid's Quest for Cool Cash Experiment is all about positive thinking and money manifesting on its own. So we are optimistic about cash coming on its own, we just have to go with the flow! Let the opportunities come, we just take them. Thats all about our Experiment lol!

We are in the second month of our online adventure and this month is going to be a big one for us. As I promised you, I've joined a survey site called ciao.co.uk which is a survey site from the UK and which pays its United Kingdom(UK) members. It also pays for writing product reviews.
Their format is simple. Just fill in their free form with your real information with your primary email address. After you fill in the form and submit it, you will be sent an email on the ID you provided where there will be a confirmational link. Just fill out the detailed survey profiles that interest you to increase the number of invitations you receive. Be honest. Honesty is what they appreciate.

The College Kid's Quest for Cool Cash Online kick started on the 4th of August 2008 and we had many ups and downs in our journey. Its nearly a month over. Today being the first of September, I thought that I should sum up a month's journey an break the numbers for you.
We started with a zero and now at the end of the month when I look back I can say that we have achieved many things in the past month. This is what we have gained from the Blogosphere at large....

I don't know why but only a few bloggers bother about the Technorati rankings. Our journey is from position no.4567345 to position no.4,591,694 which is not a total failure, but a few adds to technorati favorites and a few link exchanges can may be rise our rank.
Income:
Since it was our first month, we were too much on the backfoot as far as income is concerned. It was because we needed traffic and we were finding the traffic sources and other stuff like researching on SEO, etc. However there were a few dollars in the kitty from the Experiment. This is the summary of our earnings for the month of August.

At the start of the experiment, I used to think that google adsense would be best earner for me, but sometimes even the best blog earners slip under the radar. One reason for Google adsense income not being the best because I don't get Average joe visitors but my visitors are more Tech savvy and I think they know what they are looking for so they don't click the ads.
Well September is gonna be even better with newer income sources. I may take surveys, write some reviews for companies for cash and my focus will be accumulate a lot of cash in September. Since our goal is to make a Thousand dollars this year, I think we are on the right track. I encourage my readers to help me with more income sources both passive and active.

When the College Kid's Quest for Cool Cash online is cold these days with only a little addition to the kitty, we need some genuine money making ideas to collect some true cash and I know where to go. Definitely its going to be Curiousman. He is always active at mylot.com, helping others, giving tips,etc. That's where I found him and his site.
The description of his site says 'See how I do it and decide for yourself' and truly it seems that he's on a mission like me too and our goals are similar, i.e. to make bucks online. His site is filled with a tons of advice, his own experiences and lot of genuine money making ideas, almost all the bells and whistles for his kind of a site and a visit to his site and a subscribe to his feed is worthy.

One of the top referrers to this site one of the first sites that I exchanged links with, Miss Virtual Reality is actually having good time with her blog. While I have started blogging only a few days ago, she's been in the blogosphere for quite a time now.
Well the good thing about her is that she knows what she is writing.
One of her posts which impressed me was quite a controversial one(Controversy Creates Cash!!!). She grieves over Google money in that post. She says that she is not going to put the google adsense code in her site because Google has got no relevant ads for her blog(Is it real???). Quite brilliant!! Its a must read article and in some way its hilarious too with Miss Virtual Reality(as she calls herself and even her blog!)has got a unique style of writing.
On the contrary, I love Google Adsense and think that however less money I make on it, its passive after all. Well, I don't have any problems with Google Adsense and its gonna make me some money long term.
Since I have been to her blog, have read all her posts and think her blog's got a good potential and will begin to show in coming time.

For many of the bloggers, for earning some money from their blogs, they look for an inspiration from probloggers Darren Rowse or Steve Pavlina. Well I was inspired by none of them.
Actually while surfing on the net looking for some opportunities on the net, I came across a sitewww.millionnzdollars.blogspot.com in June 2008. The owner of this site is Rob St.George. At first I hesitated but when I read the way he went through his journey and how he earned cash from his online endeavours really inspired me.
As usual when I had a look on my blog today, I found that Rob made a visit to College Kid's Quest for cool cash yesterday. I took a screenshot of that moment. Really for me he is more than a celebrity and my mentor. He inspired me.

Guys I am feeling great today to tell you that the first few cents have been credited to my Adsense account. This money is small i.e. 18 cents, but thinking about it its passive income off this site. I had almost nothing in my Google Adsense since I joined it in May and placed it on many of my other blogs.
Obviously I gave away little efforts on those blogs so I didn't hope anything from them. But for the last two weeks of thinking about articles and a good amount of hard work has brought the first passive money here. It has now boosted my confidence and now it seems that I will be writing articles on this site very frequently from now onwards(except if its exam time).

Its been about a few days of hard work and atleast 10 posts have been done by me. I think now its time for me to head to promote this site. I have been studying these days on how to drive traffic to this blog and have found out that commenting on other like minded blogs can bring a little traffic in here. Its worked I should tell you.
Now as far as Technorati goes, its great to know that a decent rank in Technorati can bring a good amount of traffic here. I am currently ranking 4,567,345 on Technorati. But the question is how to climb the Technorati ladder??? The answer is simple. I will need your help. This is how you can:

Now that I have created enough posts, I can head off to pull some traffic. One of my friend reccomended me the site www.blogexplosion.com .
I have just registered and it is my holiday today and I have got a lot of time today, I will spend some time on it. I have added this blog to their site's directory and my site got approved. You have to surf other people's blogs to earn credits which you can convert to traffic for your own site. I've earned five credits already so am hoping that they convert to my permanent readers.
I would also appreciate if you share with us some similar sites for traffic. After all traffic can be converted into revenue and right now our experiment requires some boost in revenue.

When I read about this site on some other blog, I decided to try this and I joined the site last month.
Mylot.com is a discussion forum site where you can find everything of your interest and plus you get paid for every discussion you make and every response you give to others discussion.
I have not been too active on that site but have noticed from the Feedjit the real time widget that it has brought some few visitors over here. Not only that my discussions and responses have credited me 28 cents for my 20 posts, responses and images combined. 3. Tag all your responses with AS many words as possible.
4. Answer a wide variety of topics.
5. Answer questions with no response(Be the first one to answer to unanswered questions) .
6. Apply plus ratings to everyone, I wonder why this pays.
7. When you reply in posts write good lines atleast 3-4 quality lines.
8. Keep discussions going.
9. Make friends that can help you out, I've made a few.
10. Aim for over 50 posts per day to different discussions to make and maintain at least 10 new topics per day.
11.Never ever spam the discussions by placing your referral links. You can place them in your profile if you know some html.
I don't think I will go for that many as 50 posts a day but earning some cents wont bother me so I will still be active-after all however small, its money,isn't it!

Online blogging is not so easy. We have to look into the coming future to benefit long term than short term.
Basically you should have a passion for blogging. You need to just plough on when things get tough. Most sites don't make it because they give up. One thing I will tell you is post articles and keep on posting. I am new to this blogging thing and I have no background online but I think everyone starts from scratch. You will need to build your empire from zero.

If you would say to someone 10 years ago that you earn blogging they would look at you and say on your face, 'Are you Crazy???'. But now its reality and it involves a lot of hardwork and I know that wont pay me initially but on a long term basis I will surely reap the benefits. It is like investing in my future of course.
However little promises of success and just glimmer of hope at times.

Hello Friends and Happy Independence Day to all Indians. Today there was a sense of patriotism in me in the morning when I saw the Indian tricolor waving with pride, the sudden picture of our freedom fighters' sufferings for our independence, the non-violent movements, the non-cooperation movements, Gandhiji, Nehruji came before my eyes and I lost the thought about our 1000 dollars a year experiment and I became more patriotic when I began thinking in Indian Rupees which will make about INR 44,000.
That money will surely be an achievement if I earn it only from blogging and my online endeavours. That money is surely a magical figure itself in India especially for a student who always strives for a good level of education which of course requires money. I think by doing this I will be inspiring many others and which will surely make me happy.
Well there have been no earnings for some days now but I think thats because we still got a lot of things to do, for instance drive traffic to this site. Currently I am looking for some traffic generating methods and when I study them I will post them here. Not only that I am looking for some like-minded blogs with whom I can swap links. Anyone interested is surely welcome. Just leave a comment along with your blog or site address so that I can list it and we can share whats working for us.

You have to know that at first I was very much in a hesitant state to start this thingy, this 1K dollars experiment, however I am not really sure why. I think this was due to sheer laziness as once you start such a thing you need to really fire up, get off your seat and think of some ideas to make money. Surely, It will take a lot of time, but hopefully it will be rewarded for all the hard work, the sticking to the work, eating fatkaas(In hindi it means beatings) and make a picture in your mind that its not a get rich scheme.
Well if you think you need some residue income resources or a pocket money or a genuine money making source for free(its true), you should follow me on the experiment. For that you need a blog. Don't worry its free. If you already don't have one, just follow the steps:
1. Go to www.blogger.com
2. Decide a name for your blog:
Keep in mind that its only one time that you get to create your baby-your blog which you will bring it to maturity. So you need to think of a good name for your blog. Actually you can make many blogs but updating them will be a juggling thing. I know this as I am juggling with this blog alone.
3. Choose a template for your blog:
Choose a nice template for your blog. Blogger has good templates from which you can select.
4. Start posting on your site:
This is the real and the crucial thing as you need to be original, no content theft allowed, research the topic well and write your opinions and views in your style. Copying content from others is not a good idea as that does not help you.
5. Join the experiment:

6. Stick to it.

We are not the first people trying making money on the web. There have been a very large number of million dollar experiments inspired by Steve Pavlina(He is a pro blogger and helps other bloggers make money!!) and I have seen many kick-off with a lot of enthusiasm, but many eventually quit due to the time consuming thing(blogging of course!).
See its not Get Rich Quick scheme. You have to be patient and it may take years for the same. So to make things interesting and get going, a target of a Thousand dollars is not that meagre especially for a geek money maker like me.
On the lines of Steve Pavlina (http://www.stevepavlina.com/million-dollar-experiment.htm), I want to explain the reasons to Join the Thousand Dollar Experiment:
1.Help participate in a global thought experiment to experience the power of intention.
2.Focus your thoughts on the goal of attracting wealth in a way that serves the greater good.
3.There's no downside other than investing a fraction of your time each day in holding the intention.
4.If there is a superconscious effect to this experiment, you will be on the receiving end of other people's positive intentions.
5.Even if the effect is purely subconscious in nature, you may become more attuned to financial opportunities in your life right now.
6.What if it works?
7.It's 100% free! And there's no catch!
You will say that Steve had written it some years ago and we are late in the process, but Its never too late actually. There are still plenty of opportunities available and so there are no excuses!!!. I don't know how many of you will be interested. But whoever will be, will surely reap from it.

Today every internet user around the globe is trying to grab money from the web. There have been a fortunate few who could make a living and then a lifestyle from their internet earnings, while many of them quit. Being a college student, there is always a desire of having some money in your pocket.
When I read that many of them are already making loads of money from the web then I thought why shouldn't I??? So I setup this blog. I know its not that easy and I don't think its that difficult too. With a never-say-die attitude anyone can make some bucks.
I read about some 'million dollar experiments' and 'trillion dollar experiments' on the net and was thinking about giving it a shot. But MILLION DOLLAR$$$ is a huge amount and I don't want to bore my readers until I reach there. So I am thinking of launching a '1000 dollars Experiment'. I will place some adverts and a donate option to it and see what happens. In other words Iam just going to think about it and let the world provie it to me actually. I think 1000 dollars is too much for a geek money maker like me. And wait!! I am not going to wait too long for them but I will try and get them in an year.
Currently I am looking at a total of $0-00 and I will surely update this with each post. If you have any other money making ideas online please share them. If you would like to join the experiment(follow me!!!) and are from India(or any other nation)please add your website or blog via a comment, and I will create links to all the participants in the sidebar.
So here's a regular mantra you got to chant for this experiment:
